Course Objectives The objective of the course is to ley students understand the basic concepts about. Health and society. Following this the students will be provided with the necessary background to evaluate the relation between individuals, societies and health. Besides these the determinants of health in society and basic criterias of health will be discussed during the classes.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the concept of health
  • Evaluate the determinants of health in a society
  • Define the risk groups and levels of health protection
  • Explain the international studies about the development of health in societies
  • Interpret the health related issues and protective health arrangements in Turkey
Course Description Trough out the semester the course will cover subjects such as, the definition of health, the relation between health and society, the determinants health in society, the national and international arrangement made to protect and develop health in society.
